Randoe Suriname NV, a family-owned company located at Dr. Sophie Redmondstraat 250, Paramaribo, was founded in 1954 and registered in 1956. Managed by the third generation, the company is known for its high quality furniture made from locally harvested timber.
Products and Services: Randoe offers a wide range of solid wood and upholstered furniture, ISPM-15 certification, kiln drying services, and furniture restoration. In 2024, Randoe will introduce a new line: Home Decor by Randoe Suriname.

Founded by Sieuwsankar Poeran in 1982, S. Poeran N.V. transitioned to a corporation in 1991. The company is renowned for its bespoke wooden products, offering windows, doors, frames, and custom furniture, all crafted to meet specific customer requirements.
Products and Services: S. Poeran N.V. specializes in high-quality, custom-made wooden products including windows, doors, frames, and furniture. The company emphasizes sustainability and excellent customer service.

Taco Oso was established in 2017 as a subsidiary of N.V. Cornelly’s GALA-XY. Initially, it began as a pilot project for affordable housing under the LISP program of the government, aimed at poverty alleviation. Despite the project’s initial phase ending, the potential was recognized, leading to the establishment of prefab wooden homes to add value to Suriname’s timber resources, create jobs, and promote affordable housing.
Products and Services: Taco Oso offers packages for homes that can be up to 98% wood. The company specializes in prefabricated wooden homes that can be constructed in a fraction of the time traditional methods require, significantly reducing costs and promoting self-building with detailed manuals.

Greenheart Forest Central N.V. began its forestry and sawmilling operations in 2011, promoting sustainable forest management and achieving high international certification standards. The company works closely with local operators to elevate sustainability and market Surinamese wood species internationally.
Products and Services: The company specializes in decking, flooring, cladding, construction lumber, sleepers, underlayers, furniture, posts, lobster traps, track flooring, doors, and round logs. All products are produced under sustainable forest management practices.

Soekhoe & Zonen was founded in 1962 by Mr. Siewdjagat Soekhoe as a sole proprietorship for the exploitation of round wood to local sawmills. In 1977, the company was transformed into a limited liability company named Hout Exploitatie en Verwerkingsonderneming Soekhoe & Zonen N.V. (Logging and Wood Processing Company Soekhoe and Sons Ltd). The first sawmill began production in January 1998, followed by the second sawmill in 2006 and the third in 2013. In November 2015, an existing sawmill named Surinaamse Hout en Hout Verwerking Industrie N.V. was acquired, renovated, and brought up to Soekhoe & Zonen N.V. standards. The company owns an FSC-certified concession of 21,750 hectares and operates five complete sawmills with kiln drying facilities.

Ramzon N.V.

Established in 1992, Ramzon N.V. is a renowned wood processing company in Paramaribo, Suriname. Initially starting with a 2,400 m² plot, the company has expanded to 16,488 m². Ramzon N.V. is notable for employing a diverse workforce, including individuals with disabilities, earning the company a Workability Award in 2009.
Products and Services: Ramzon N.V. operates three main production halls focusing on doors, windows, frames, flooring, decking, mouldings, shipping crates, and pallets. The company is especially known for its colonial louver windows, which are primarily used in the restoration of colonial buildings in Paramaribo.

The Foundation for Forest Management and Production Control (SBB) was established to oversee the sustainable management and monitoring of Suriname’s forest resources. The foundation was created to ensure the protection, conservation, and responsible exploitation of the country’s forests. Over the years, SBB has developed into a key institution in promoting sustainable forestry practices in Suriname.
Products and Services: SBB offers a range of services including forest monitoring, management, and certification. The foundation is also responsible for issuing permits for forest exploitation and conducting research on forest resources. What makes SBB unique is its comprehensive approach to balancing ecological conservation with sustainable economic development.
