The Suriname Investment and Trade Agency (SITA) is at the forefront of strengthening Suriname’s economic position by attracting investment and expanding trade opportunities. The agency plays a central role in connecting Suriname to the global market while supporting the growth and competitiveness of local businesses.

In support of its expanding operations, SITA is seeking to recruit a qualified and motivated individual within the Finance and Administration Department for the position of ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY.

The Administrative Secretary will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Finance and Administration Department, ensuring efficient office operations, clear communication, and well-organized documentation in line with SITA’s standards.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will be required to:
• Provide administrative and clerical support to the Director of Finance and Administration
• Manage schedules, meetings, and correspondence
• Prepare, format, and proofread official documents and reports
• Maintain organized filing systems (physical and digital)
• Coordinate meetings, including preparation of agendas and minutes
• Assist with basic financial administrative tasks, including invoice processing and record-keeping
• Support procurement and logistical arrangements
• Facilitate internal and external communication
• Perform any other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in an administrative or secretarial role
• Experience within a corporate, government, or international organization is an asset

Skills and Competencies
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Dutch required)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
