VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT - AFTERCARE OFFICER

The Suriname Investment and Trade Agency (SITA) is at the forefront of strengthening Suriname’s economic position by attracting investment and expanding trade opportunities. The agency plays a central role in connecting Suriname to the global market while supporting the growth and competitiveness of local businesses.
In support of its expanding operations, SITA is seeking to recruit a qualified and motivated individual within the Investment Department for the position of
AFTERCARE OFFICER.

The Aftercare Officer will provide comprehensive support to the Investment Department, in maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing investors in Suriname. The role focuses on investor retention, identifying reinvestment opportunities, and providing ongoing support to ensure a conducive business environment and sustainable investment growth.

Key Responsibilities
The candidate will be required to:
• Develop and implement investor aftercare strategies and engagement plans
• Maintain regular contact with existing investors to ensure continued satisfaction and address concerns
• Identify and support opportunities for reinvestment and business expansion
• Act as a liaison between investors and relevant government agencies
• Support the resolution of investor challenges by coordinating with key stakeholders
• Conduct regular investor visits and engagement meetings
• Collect and analyze investor feedback to inform policy and improve the investment climate
• Prepare reports on investor relations, trends, and aftercare activities
• Support the development of investor retention and facilitation initiatives
• Contribute to investment promotion and investor servicing activities
• Perform any other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience in investor relations, aftercare, investment promotion, business development, or a related field
• Experience working with government institutions, investors, or international organizations is an advantage
• Strong understanding of investment processes and the business environment

• Strong communication skills (English and Dutch required)
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Diplomacy, discretion, and professionalism
